Maryland Weather

The state of Maryland is located in the mid-Atlantic of the United States. Maryland weather is diverse with four distinct seasons which are affected by its closeness to the Atlantic Coast and its somewhat flat topography. Maryland can be described as humid sub-tropical and the summers can be very humid almost anywhere in the state. The winters are cold but not nearly as cold as states just to the northeast.

There is an average snowfall for the entire state of 20 inches or 510 millimeters per year. There are higher elevations in the state. A couple of them are Garrett County and Allegany County. The elevation in this area makes the temperatures here milder during the summer and much colder during the winter. To learn more about the weather visit Marylandweather.net.
